A percentage of all Birds' operating profits goes towards supporting animal welfare projects in the local area. We are committed to all forms of animal protection.

We are always looking for homes, often at very short notice, for at-risk animals, those whose owners might have died without making provision for them, those sentenced to die in shelters, and those who find themselves homeless through lack of responsibility on the part of their caregivers. If you can give an animal a safe, caring, forever home, or even a foster home for a few crucial days, or you can pass emergency emails on to others who might be able to help, then please sign up below.

If you are considering taking on a dog or a cat PLEASE DO NOT GO TO A PET BREEDER OR A PET STORE. Contact our animal adoption team. The animals we find homes for are vaccinated, neutered and have been thoroughly checked out for behavioral or medical problems - we have a 'returns' policy if you encounter any issues with a particular pet. They are extremely affectionate (they know when they strike it lucky with a good home) and robust as they don't have inbreeding to deal with.
